I can't see the list, but what's important is West Point's relative ranking to other SAs. As other SAs have same advantages as West Point to other colleges.

At the same time, if you consider that endowement of some schools, that's unfair.

Except that, as we've seen with other listings, each academy reports separately. We talked about the Naval Academy's numbers last year (can't remember if it was Forbes then, but I think so.)

What makes it "unfair"? If the rankings are essentially based on return on investment, then the SAs do very well in that category. They are, in fact, a great personal investment. Harvard has an endowment worth more than all the land West Point sits on, which allows them to give tons of need-based aid and build whatever they feel like. That's a nice advantage, too.
 
Harvard's endowment dropped by $5B (that's billion with a B) since 2008.

It's still very high.
