I am new here.
I live in Maryland and I am trying to become a merchant Mariner.
I have obtained my TWIC card (No military experience) and I am going for my Z-Card (Merchant Mariner license).... How can I get a job on a vessel? Is it hard?

I really want to make this my career. So if you cannot answer please don't bother responding.

My suggestion is to go to the Merchant Marine subsection of this forum instead of the "Introduction" area which very few read. You'll get a lot more responses if you ask the question in the appropriate academy forum. Best of luck. mike...
