Obviously, that depends on what time the game starts. But see, you don't have a problem. Whatever time the game starts, you get there 3 hours earlier, and you come to "Thudgate" and hang out with us and enjoy the day. You also can go to the cadet/squadron tailgates too if you like.Does anyone know what time the gates open for home football games? Thanks! Go Air Force (except when they play Army)!
But to answer your question, the gates are open at least 2 hours prior to kickoff. We usually shut down Thudgate around 1 hour prior to kickoff so we can go inside and see the parachutists and flyover. And there's usually a lot of people in the stadium by the time we get to our seats. So I would assume 2 hours. This allows you to watch the pregame team warmups if you like.
I guess it's possible that it is open even earlier than 2 hours; but I personally have never tried to get in that early when I could be at Thudgate with 100+ friends like Fleiger, MikeandChris, and many others eating, drinking, catching up on each other's lives, our kids, etc... So; this is an ORDER: I expect to see you at Thudgate.

Oops, I don't think my question was very clear, I meant the North (or South) gate into the Academy, not the gates to the stadium. We definitely plan on tailgating
The North Gate is usually open from 6am til 10pm. On game day, we are there very early. (At least 3-4 hours before game time; for Thudgate). They just waive you through. So no problem. Now; if you happen to have a military ID card, then it doesn't matter. You can go in either gate if it's open. South is open 24/7 and North is open, I believe, from 6am til 10pm.
