For those who already done the CFA I have a question. What is the order of exercises? Is it mile, push ups, sit-ups, pull ups? Or the other way around. Also is there a time limit for push ups, situs and pull ups?

Thanks:)

For USAFA the events are also timed, with timed rest periods. Starts with BB throw, then pull-ups, shuttle run, sit-ups, push-ups, and then the run. You start the run at the 30 minute mark. I did check the USMA link and couldn't find the times break down, if you need that info let me know and I will copy it in for you.

If I am wrong please correct me, but did I read correctly on the website that you are required to get your own CFA examiner?

You are correct. Your gym/PE teacher will be your first point of contact when scheduling the CFA.

Your ALO can also administer the CFA so you might want to touch with them as well.

Your CFA score is one of the admission scores that you can really impact. Your GPA and Class Rank are largely fixed at this point although certainly poor grades can bring them down but there is very little opportunity to significantly move them up.

Take the CFA seriously with the goal of maxing out as many events as possible.

+1 to Blackbird's post.

This is not something you should just do it so you can meet the 1st board. Once submitted only the AFA can re-open that portal, you cannot and they don't offer that option on a whim. They have to believe your packet is strong enough and the hold back is really your CFA.

Take the time and practice. They never announce the mins, but they do publish the maxs.

If you can only do 5 Pull ups as a guy, and 18 is the max, you are hurting yourself by rushing it.

I always say this about the CFA, every point matters, and although the CFA is a small % of the WCS, the AFA eventually will have 1 spot left and 2 competing for that 1 spot. If you are okay losing that spot because you didn't do everything to get the highest CFA score than rush it, but if you are going to spend the next yr (freshman at college) wondering if you just did 1 more pull up would that have meant an appointment than don't submit until you know you can't do 1 more pull up. You have until Feb to complete your application.
