USN&WR 2013 College Rankings

Give all credit to the marketeers of media. Whoever came up with this idea of "ranking colleges" like their football teams is one wealthy man, sipping pina coladas on his own island, laughing about the suckers who've been buying all those magazines all these years.

He managed the impossible ... transforming creative art into phony science.:shake:

Maybe not unlike these political polls that tell us 36.349% of us prefer "big government" and 86.7% prefer "no government" and the other 44.8% are "undecided."

Like the pundits said about such silliness ... don't believe any of it. USNA a liberal arts college? Yea right.:yllol::rolleyes:

A creative and free market's manifestation of the old truth, "a fool born every minute." Lots of 'em, it seems. And they're rushing to buy USN&WR, Kiplingers, Fisk, the greatest 366 colleges, the 97 places making a diff, Princeton Reviews Plums, and on and on and on. Line up. Take a numbah! Have your cash ready! Keep moving. :zip:

:shake: Thank you! - I just won a bet on who would be the first to respond to this posting! :shake:

Tell us who your doofus friend was that would bet with you? We want in on that. Maybe sell him some oceanfront property in Iowa.

Someone was saying she'd bet you'd be the first to bite on the USN&WR propaganda. I didn't wanna bet with your mom though.

It's called ... knowledge "distribution." I'm in the spirit of this political season.

Careful now - you don't want to take another vacation. I'm sure you're capable of aurguing your points without insulting people.

USNA comes in again at number 14 in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category and number 1 for Public Colleges. Also number 1 in High School Counselor rankings and number 4 in Undergrad Engineering Programs. It's interesting to note that USN&WR is still using USNA's application data with a 7.5% acceptance rate.

Aiki, Its not a big deal for Navy, USNA is running behind Army and Air Force (the youngest program) for Engineering with most of the schools in the top 15 on the National list are Calif schools, WT?
