I know Nick said a few months ago his RNLTD was in the beginning of October. Doing the math I think he is like our DS and his friends as they are starting their treks tomorrow for their schools in TX, I wanted to take this time to wish Nick a very safe trip, my best wishes, thoughts and hopes for his success as an Intel officer in the USAF!

Please keep us updated on how life is going and where you will be stationed at eventually.

Thank you for stepping up and serving this great nation so we all can have our freedom you so proudly defend!

Thanks Pima! Best of luck to your DS as well. I'm sure you must be proud. Is he going to Columbus, Vance or Laughlin?

He is going to Laughlin. We are filled with every emotion imaginable, just like I think your parents are too as they kiss you goodbye one more time!

Where is Intel school at, and for how long will you be there prior to going to your permanent station.

The more you share the more AFROTC cadets can get an idea of life after AFROTC?

DS's friends that went non-rated went maintenance. One of his closest friends left in Aug. for training in TX, Randolph I think.

Well my parents said goodbye a long time ago. My girlfriend and I have been living on our own since graduation. Luckily our apartment is only a few hours away from Goodfellow AFB (where I'll be stationed). So we'll still get to see each other every once in a while.

Intel school is about 7 months so hopefully by next summer I'll finally be out supporting operational units.

I'm surprised your DS had to wait this long to go to UPT. All the rated grads from my Det got to report within a month from graduation. I think only myself and the two guys who're developmental engineering had to wait this long.

We were lucky at my Det that we all are EAD'd by October. I think that's because our commissioning date was 11 May this year. The class before us didn't commission until the end of May and most of them ended up waiting to EAD until Spring.

Best Wishes and Good Luck to him PIMA. It is tough to see them go. It is what they have worked for.

Thank you Norwich.

Nick DS commissioned 5/26 so they were way after VT. Columbus UPT students from his det reported back 1st week of Aug, but Laughlin students are going out starting tomorrow from his det.

Best of luck to your son.

Good luck to everyone heading to their assignments.

PIMA, if your son needs anything when he gets to Laughlin, let me know. I know another 2Lt there who might be able to assist.
