Obama insulting military x2 in debate

First Obama "dissing" on Romney's plan to increase military spending and he quotes "that the military doesn't even want it".... Huh?!?!

Later Obama quoted this:
"Let's make sure we are cutting out those things that are not helping us grow... so, 77 government programs, everything from aircrafts that uhh the Air Force uhh had ordered, but weren't working very well."

Husband has been flying the Raptor for 9 1/2 years...would love to hear my husband debate the President on that issue!:thumbdown:

It's not as though it has a spotless record, and in lean times it's hard to justify paying for more of them, when after 10 years of war we haven't used them. The F-35 is likely more bang for the buck as a multi-role platform.

Cuts need to be made.

Seriously? It's one thing to debate the topics on SAF and another reason to post for the sake of frustration/politics.

I'll put this out there, and I'm guessing it's not "new". I'm not an Obama fan. I don't trust him. I don't care for his policies.

That said, DOD needs to make some serious cuts, and that includes personnel. Sorry. The inefficiency is given a blind eye in the middle of a war, but as the troops come home and people care less about the remaining service members, jobs will be cut and budgets will shrink... and sadly for those affected.... both need to happen.
 
Folks- this truly is not a forum to beat political drums from either side of the band stands. Please leave that to other forums. It is against our policy, and is against the objectives of our forums to do so. While you are all encouraged to pay close attention to the elections, participate and actually VOTE for the candidates who you believe will best represent you and provide the best leadership for tough times for our country, not every forum is appropriate for those discussions. This is one of those where it is not appropriate. In that vein I am closing this thread out out.
