I have my application complete except for my letters of recommendation, essays, and fitness test. My letter and essays are in full swing, what is really holding me back is my fitness test. I am wondering if it is more beneficial to submit what I have now to get my application in and (hopefully) approved, or I can retake it in mid-November to submit better scores. Unfortunately, I do have to wait until November because I just broke my leg.
I have already taken the fitness test, and my scores are:
Basketball throw: 69 feet (USAFA avg. 69 ft.)
Pull-ups: 11 (USAFA avg. 12)
Shuttle run: 8.0 sec (USAFA avg. 8.9 sec)
Sit-ups: 63 (USAFA avg. 81)
Push ups: 62 (USAFA avg. 61)
Mile: 6min 25sec (USAFA avg. 6min 36 sec)
My WGPA is 4.07, UWGPA is 3.97
Rank 5 of 280
Best ACT's: Compos: 32....Sci: 36....Math: 35....Eng: 32....Read: 30....Write:
AP's: US History (3), Eng. Lang (4), Eng Lit (current), Calc (current), Chem (current)
My EC's and leadership are pretty good in my opinion, as well as civics and motivation.
My interview with my liaison officer went very well, and I believe he really boosted my application.
Both my USAFA Counselor and my ALO have told me/hinted that I have a good/great shot of gaining acceptance. (I say told me/hinted because both of them seemed as if they wanted to tell me flat out that I should get in, but they didn't because they didnt want to blow up my head or provide me with false hopes.)
With all of that being said, which option, in your opinions, is more beneficial? Please help ASAP.
Thank you so much!
