Hey everyone, I have a very mild form of asthma, however, I am a junior in HS and have ran varsity track for he past 3 years and ran track and played aau basketball years prior to high school. Usually suffering from nothing more then heavy breathing in EXTREME case and not having suffered from an asthma attack since i was 7 (9years ago),

Would i Still be considered for a waiver?

please any help!

Standard response: every case is different and no-one here can give you a definite answer. Can you? Yes, it has been done. Will you? No idea, because it depends a bunch of variables.

All you can do is apply and make your application as strong as you possibly can, giving the branch you're applying to every reason to want to give you a waiver. However, have a solid backup plan that doesn't involve the military because you know you likely have a medical issue and given the current cutbacks waivers are harder to come by.
