Sorry if I am asking a redundant question, but once the DoDMERB results are in, do all academies receive the results? Or just he academy that requested it? Thank you.

Not only will the SA's receive the results, but the ROTC sources will too.

The issue to remember is DoDMERB is just about Q'ing or DQ'ing. Sources are in charge of waiving a DQ.

IOTW if he gets a DQ USNA might waive and USMA might not. On top of that USNA might not waive and NROTC might.

The part most people don't understand is this is really an accounting/billing issue in part.

For example:
USAFA requested the exam. They will be charged for the exam, but the sister services can just take the results.

If USNA requested, the AFA would be able to take the results.

It is just about which service will be billed, but they share the info. Similar to the CFA/PFA.

Every SA will accept the CFA regardless.

The PFA is like a waiver, you have to do what their branch requires.

Hope that helps.

So, if the USMA requested the exam and the candidate was deemed Qualified with no remedials from DoDMERB, then the other academies will receive the information and the candidate should be Qualified with the other SA's as well...correct? Thank you for your help.

That is correct. 1 exam and results are valid for all 5 Academies and all ROTCs.

Not sure if the results are the same for all. Agree you take one DoDMERB physical, and 90% of the results are for all service academys/ROTCs, but I believe each has its own vision standards that the DoDMERB must evaluate.

Example: Pass all for USMA and are Qualified but may be DQed for USNA due to color vision???

Is this correct?

I believe this is correct. The standards for all of the branches of the military are similar but not the same. It is possible to be qualified for one branch and DQ'ed for another branch.
