My son went to the Mail box today and there it was the BFE saying he was accepted to NAPS. We are so excited for him. He is the third kid to get accepted. He has dreamed of this day since his brothers induction day 2008. That was when he saw USNA the first time and fell in love. Good luck to everyone!!!

Congrats to him, and thanks for sharing, because I`ve heard a lot of direct appointment stats, but never NAPS stats. Best of luck to him! :thumb:

GOOD JOB MOM!!! what a proud lady you must be! God bless your children in the service of our country

Thank You, but I will say my daughter choose a different path. She was accepted to USNA and CGA. She choose Navy because she loved it every time we went to see her brother.

She did two years and just didn't feel it was for her. She decided she wanted to be a nurse. She loves USNA but once she got there she felt it wasn't for her. We all were pretty shocked at her decision, but she is doing great and doing what she loves.

I am not sure if one day she will regret her decision to leave, but I think if she becomes successful in Nursing she will feel that USNA gave her the foundation to accomplish her goals. Its amazing in just two years what she has learned and what she has gained for her experience.

Thank you and I am really proud of all the kids.
Good Luck

Excellent...congrats to your daughter for finding her pasion. One question...did she consider going to school to become a Navy nurse after USNA graduation? My son graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy and is now a Navy Doc after going to med school with the Navy at USUHS in DC. Just wondering.

Congratulations to you and your son ma'am! I'm even more happy to know that he has achieved an important goal to him. I believe that that makes a college acceptance even more meaningful; if you know that you have wanted, want, and will always treasure being a student at that school. God bless!
