Needing Advice & Info

I am currently a freshman at a community college (no ROTC). My plan is to transfer to University of Connecticut (UCONN) and do the 2 year ROTC. I am aware that I have a long time to go before I take any actual steps for this, but I'd like to have as much information as possible. It will help keep me motivated. I'm also looking for a general time frame to start applying. I've done some research and almost everything I see is for the full four years of ROTC. I've got nobody to help me with this stuff in person, so any information and help would be EXTREMELY appreciated. Thank you.

P.S. Grades are not an issue at all, I have 95+ in every class I am in. I am also physically fit, able to max out the PFT section of push ups and sit ups. I am working on improving my run time.

Edit: This is for Army ROTC.

First step, contact the Cadre at UCONN and ask them the same question you asked here. The sooner you contact them, the sooner you can start to build a relationship, it will be up to them whether you get accepted to LTC and to their program.

I imagine you might need to start the application process for a two year scholarship as early as this spring so don't put it off too long. It will soon be upon us.
 
Do I contact the Recruiting Operations Officer. That seems like it would be the correct person.
