I received a medical waiver which is awesome. I know it is a needed step in the process, but can this also be a positive sign overall?

May I ask what the waiver was for? It is none of my business, but I am curious because im in the same boat.

It is a positive sign. USMA usually requests waivers for applicants they deem "competitive," so it looks like you are competitive for gaining an appointment. Good luck!

Positivity,
If you send me a PM and include an email address I will send you details of my waiver. I am not able to send PMs until I have more posts.

I'm awaiting a waiver. Did you have to do a remedial? If yes, once the remedial results were sent, how long did you have to wait before you got the waiver?

Remedial

Yes, I had a remedial. After that, it was about six weeks which I actually think is fast because my documentation said it could take 90 days, but as many posters have said every case is different. Good luck!

DoDMERB remedials

As soon as my DD saw her remedials she went back to the Dr. and we faxed everything straight away. This was done about 4 or 5 times! We did contact DoDMERB by phone and e-mail a number of times because we live overseas and our mail takes forever. DoDMERB acted very quickly upon remedials and updated her portal almost immediately. I guess I'm trying to tell you to stay in touch with them, they are helpful.
