NROTC boards

Does anyone know how often the NROTC boards meet in 2012-2013. Or how often results are released. I completed my packet 11/16/2012. thanks all.

I am in the same boat. NRTOC Board dates seem to be a secret for some reason. Army publishes their board dates and issues results about 2 weeks after the board meets but I have had no luck finding similar info for Navy. Maybe some of the more experienced members will comment.

I've yet to meet anyone who could tell me the dates. They seem to be extremely secret. I do know the Marine Option Boards meet in November and again in Feb or March (I've gotten conflicting reports on the spring dates but its one of those months). I believe the NROTC Navy Option board meets more often, if only because they have a larger work load, but I have no idea when they start or how often they meet.

The Navy plans for 15 boards a year starting in August and ending April. I say plans, because some end up getting canceled. Public math, but that means 15 boards over 9 months, so a board completing every 3 weeks or so. It seems to take 1-3 weeks for candidates to be notified.
If you are not selected at your first board you will be rolled over to the next one. Typically early board recipients hear quicker. You will find out earliest via the website.
You can help yourself by getting a complete, error free application in early.
