How many jumps did it take you from the mailbox to get back in the house. For me it was about 3 jumps to make it up the driveway! ( our driveway doesn't seem that long, until you need to shovel it :shake:) 3 big jumps!

I also just got a phone call from one of the congress men saying he nominated me. Very excited right now! But getting accepted into the school is going to be the hardest part.

I do still have interviews scheduled with other congressmen and senators should I call and cancel or attend letting them know I got nominated?

I would definitely still attend as I know that having multiple nominations is beneficial. However, I am not sure regarding letting them know about your initial nomination. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will chime in.

Whiplasher, my DS got 2 Senator's nominations and then received a letter from our Congressman asking for an interview. We called the Congrssman and told his sec'y that DS already received 2 nominations but thank you very much. They were very kind on the phone. A week later, DS received his 3rd nomination from that Congressman as well. It honestly doesn't matter if you have 1 or 2 or 3 nominations... they just need 1. Congrats!

Yesterday application for nomination status changed to YES. CFA today to complete the process. Then bubble rap time. Maybe not but at least a close eye.
 
Wouldn't a giant roll of bubble wrap be a great fundraiser? We could sell it by the yard. One yard wide and 2 yards long ought to do it. But then we might have to roll it up and ship it in packing peanuts just so the lucky duck who buys it would have all the fun of popping the bubbles themselves.
I have done the math, we could make about .10 per sale after cost and shipping. :eek:

Positivity- It really doesn't matter if someone mentions that they already have a nomination. The senators and congressmen in our state typically talk to each other anyway.
((DS got 3 nominations... the 2 Senator nominations came first, and when Congressman called to set up an interview, we kindly told them that he'd already received 2 nominations (but thank you very much)- the sec'y on the phone was VERY KIND and said congratulations and not to worry about an interview then! A week later, the nomination from that congressman also arrived.))
It's good to stack the nominations, BUT it's NOT necessary. KP just needs 1 nomination.
