For the past few weeks, I have been having difficulty communicating with academy representatives. I applied EA1 and have been looking for an interview since I sent in my application. I live in San Francisco and my regional admissions officer was here for a week. We had discussed my interview beforehand and decided that he would meet with me that week. Later, when I tried to contact him to confirm our meeting, he did not respond.
I then talked to a pilot at my local air station (an admissions partner) who was going to interview me, but he got word from the academy that it was too late for me to be interviewed. To add to the confusion, my regional admissions partner emailed me saying that he was ready to interview me. I said that I would be glad to, but I have not heard from him since.
I understand that very few people are interviewed, and I am more concerned about USCGA admissions' lack of correspondence with me and what it means regarding the status of my application than I am about my inability to receive an interview. Can anyone provide any insight? Is my fear that the academy admissions office has not contacted me because of the denial of my application rational?
