Under the "nominations received" section of my candidate portal, there is green checkmark next to the code MO62. Does this mean I received the nomination? Or am I only being considered for it? Is MO62 one of my senators?

Thank you

Congratulations! You have received a nomination from your Senator! From what I have read on other threads, 61 would be the senior Senator from your state and 62 would be the junior Senator. My DS has received a Superintendant's nomination, which is listed as SUPN08. I am not quite sure what the 08 means...maybe someone could enlighten me. Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!

I believe the "08" indicates the SUP's 8th nomination for the class. The SUP is authorized by law to have 100 nominations/appointees at any given time. So approximately 25 per year. These are typically Blue Chip recruits who are likely receiving offers from other Service Academies or other strong academic/athletic institutions.

Congrats to all of you and your children. My son had his interviews about two weeks ago. How long did you wait to hear of your nomination? Did you notice it on your portal first or were you notified?

DS first was notified of nom when received letter from MOC on 11/16/2016 (he interviewed 11/5/2012). USNA CIS portal did not reflect nom until 12/4/2012, so it took 2 1/2 weeks from receiving MOC nom letter until the info posted on CIS.

I noticed it first in my portal. There were no interviews for my state. I have not received anything in writing from my senators or congressman yet. I am applying to USMA by the way, I don't know if that really changes anything. and thank you very much!

If you don't mind me asking, what state do you live in? Because, my state does not do interviews either, and I have no idea when we're supposed to hear the nomination results.

Thank you.

Maybe I should have paid more attention to your name before asking....
