For the PFE, does the CGA look at each individual section or just the overall score?
I am good on the mile and a half time and the sit ups, but I am lacking in the push ups. I have been working on them but I want to submit my application as soon as possible and was wondering if a low push up score, by itself, would hurt my chances?

I remember reading somewhere that the academy only looks at your overall score and not the individual ones.

All admissions is really looking for is whether or not you can pass the PFE during swab summer. 200, 250, 290 are really all the same. They don't pick up a package and say "Look at this really high PFE score lets look closer at this guy." It's more of "This is a really good candidate, lets make sure his PFE is high enough that we don't need to worry about losing him right off the bat."

If you ever want to see how much it doesn't matter to do poorly on one part of the PFE watch the cadets run theirs at the beginning of the semester. You'll see plenty of people, usually football players, max the pushups and situps (which gives you a passing score) and then take a nice Sunday stroll on the run.:yllol:

As well as the company officers and chiefs now.

Yep, part of the Lead By Example philosophy CAPT McCauley is going for. I'm proud to say I beat the new Asst Supt in pushups...and then he kicked my butt in the run. :shake:

^Speak for yourself...I was oh so happily sitting in Roland until 3 thanks to Criminal Justice...two points from validation and I owned that PIO...

Ah well, what's done is done. Although I had never actually used up the full final exam block until today. I assume you validated USCGA13? I didn't see you sitting there with rest of us miserable souls.

^ Yeah I saw you were still there after I took off T&F. Easiest final all week hands down.

My last final was Sat T&F, I overrocked the PIO (103) and validated. Though I was at the Academy til this morning. Curiouser and Curiouser.
