Not sure what you're asking?

Have I seen better? Definitely. Have I seen worse? Definitely. Are yours average? No, not really. Are they good enough to pass? I can't tell you that.

The question is: Are those the scores you have during practicing, OR, are those the scores you submitted online??? You can only submit the scores once. If those are the scores you submitted, then there's nothing left to talk about. The academy will either accept them, disqualify you, or make you retake it. (Their choice 100%). If you didn't submit the scores yet, then I advise trying to get better. Especially in the running.

i think they wanted to see if anyone had input on those scores. i am curious as well. i know nobody can say for sure whether or not the academy will take your scores but ill post mine for the heck of it. im a runner and had a hard time preparing for the upper body stuff since i have sort of a thin/taller build.

can you comment on my scores? am i average according to the academy?

basketball throw: 72' (74 on my practice:frown:)
pull ups: 10
shuttle run: 8.1
sit ups: 96
push ups: 55 ( arms were dead tired haha)
mile: 5:52

i was hoping to surpass the average for each but didnt get it on pull ups or push ups unfortunately

I can tell you pretty much for sure that a 9:20 mile isn't passing for a male. Needs to be under around 8:00. I know for West Point the BB throw would also probably be failing but very close, but think AF doesn't look at it as much.

Once you reach max on any component of the CFA, it doesn't add to your overall score. The posted averages from previous years are a good guideline to try and match or surpass.

You should definitely try to get that mile under 8:00.
Start running every day. Go to your closest track and run 400m and 800m repeats and on the next day run 4-6 miles. Keep alternating like that - it'll shred your mile time if you work hard.

Also - practice your basketball throw. Make sure you're using your entire body to slingshot the ball.

Good luck!

Just for comparison purposes -

BB throw: 69
Pull ups: 9
Shuttle: 9.0
Sit ups: 95
Push ups: 75
Mile: 6:47 (At 5,700ft altitude on rough trail course at NWP)

I hit all of the averages or above for everything but sit-ups. Will that score be failing?
CFA:
BB Throw- 77ft
Pull-ups- 12
Shuttle Run- 8.5
Sit-ups- 60
Push-ups-67
Mile run- 6:36

CFT

Hi
It was hard for my athletic DS to get the notice from the academy to re-take his CFT. He went into it lackluster and learned a growing up lesson. Even with the LOA and MOC he is working this month to improve for the retest.
Regards
John
