Just viewed DS's grades from Frosh Year 1st Semester at North Georgia

6 A's and 1 B. Okay, one of the A's is in weight training ;)

:thumb:you should be a very happy person and every right to be proud... we are on the road of summer school again ... Organic chemistry this time. Mine is not on academic probation or anything, but A's and B's are not plentiful. It has been a battle every semester with something...just so he keeps pushing and doesn't quit.

Sounds Great

Does that exempt him from next Semester's study hall hours?

Thanks!

Thanks! DS is a Poli Sci major.

To answer your question...

I believe grades do have something to do with mandatory study hall hours but I also am pretty sure it also has to do with how many credits you have earned coupled with your g.p.a.

I agree...

Well done!! College is so much better if you have a great start.

I agree, that is one less stressful thing to worry about which allows you to open up to other opportunities on campus like clubs, sports, etc.

Very True.
It really impresses the school and cadre and will open many leadership postions and opportunities for training going forward. It gives a positive first impression. That first semester makes or breaks a lot of students. DS will see how important it is when he goes out with friends over break that have not done well. They will talk about transferring and how they hate their school.
