Check the website, all. DS logged on today and was notified he received a Type 2 scholarship! Whew. What a nice Christmas gift. We are beside ourselves with joy!

Congrats! I remember when our DS got his and it is truly one of the most expensive XMas gifts he ever got!

I got a Type 1! So exciting!

I don't know for what major, though. Is that available online, or do I have to wait for the letter?

stats?

Would you mind posting your stats? I will be re-boarded... do they do that for everyone or do some people get rejected outright?

And I have heard that this does not necessarily mean I could I only get a type 7 at best, and that I might be in-between categories so they are waiting...
Is this true?

I don't mind at all.

Extracurriculars -
Civil Air Patrol (Cadet Commander, Mitchell Award)

My interviewer also made it seem like not many people are reboarded. I don't think it's a given that the highest you can get is a type 7. Other than that, I really don't know your chances.

My DS stats are:

7 AP credits
In top 15 percent of 350 students
AP Scholar
Taken Calc, Calc II, three engineering courses

Pull-ups: 14

Extracirriculars:

Congratulations to you guys! Very impressive stats.

I had gotten my PFT waived a while back due to a broken wrist and I have not submitted one since. Maybe thats the problem? I also have not gotten an NROTC one either yet though (NROTC does NOT require a PFT)… so I don't know.

1520 SAT
2/193 Rank

But no leadership when I applied and only a little more now...

Happy holidays guys!

Our DS went in the Fall to the Spend the Night with the Cadets weekend for JROTC/CAP members. He was not at all intereested in A&M prior to that but it really helped him see what was out there and available to him, all her had to do was keep an open mind.
Now, he's brainwashed, lol!
congrats to your DS!
