AFROTC - Still hope for scholly?

Hi Everyone,

My daughter applied for an AFROTC scholarship as a nursing undergrad.

Her application was reviewed in the Dec. board and we received the following message:

•Your application met the board and you were not selected for a scholarship. However, based on your rank on the board, your application will be meeting the next board.

She is extremely disappointed and I'm wondering if there is still hope. Any experience/perspective would be fantastic relative to being pushed to a subsequent board.
Undergrad Major Plans: Nursing
ACT 27
HS Rank top 20%
High GPA, including Accelerated & AP courses
Varsity Basketball (captain & starter)
Student Government

Did your daughter apply for the AROTC Nursing Scholarship as well?
 
I would not give up hope, what needs to be realized is sometimes it is a matter of being on the cusp and they want to see a larger pool before making the final decision. Dec. was only the 1st board.

Don't lose hope, not even a bit! I didn't receive my scholarship notification until late March.
