Hi all! I recently received an offer for a Candidate Visitation Weekend (CVW) with a number of different available dates. My only hesitation in attending is that I already spent a week at NASS and a recruiting visit weekend back in September. Obviously I don't want to appear as if I ignored the invite, but at the same time have had my heart set on USNA ever since my recruiting visit and thus don't feel the need for a second CVW. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

CVW

There is no harm in respectfully declining the invite and telling them you are ready to accept an Appointment upon receipt. You would rather save your parents the money and afford someone else the opportunity to visit the Yard.

Is their a preferred method of communication for the admissions office? Would it be easier if I sent a simple email or phoned their office?

Are there no directions in the invite you received on how to reply?

Do you receive an email asking what weekend was your preference? I think it would be appropriate to reply back to that email.

Yes, it was an email invitation. I would assume when they send the CVW offers out most people accept them and thus don't include any kind of "decline" option. Would a simple email response indicating my respectful decline of the option due to having already been down multiple times and a reiteration of my interest in the Academy suffice?

Yes.
