Around 1:30 this afternoon I logged into my application portal and noticed that it said,

Appointment Status: Appointment Offered

Needless to say I was ecstatic, however when I signed in later to show my parents, my appointment status was no longer there. I hope it wasn't an honest mistake that my status appeared this way. I haven't received anything in the mail yet either. Hopefully it's just a problem with the portal and my appointment status will reappear. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Thanks in advance!

:eek::eek::eek:Wow what a roller coaster of emotion! If I were you Iʻd call my admissions counselor at USAFA and ask. It can't hurt to try. I hope it all works out for you!!!

BEST WISHES :yllol::yllol::yllol:

oh boy i don't know if i'd be able to take that! hope you solve your problem soon!

The same thing happend to me. My ALO said that it was mistake for the Academy to show them so early because they didn't give a chance for MOC's to notify their appointees. He told me that it should reappear on Wednesday or Thursday once the grace period for the Congressmen has concluded. So, you're fine. Congratulations and see you in June!

Hey thanks! That is awesome news. Congratulations to you too. :shake:

Congratulations to AJ

Congratulations :jump1:

If you don't mind would you mind sharing your stats? Thanks!

Congratulations again...what an awesome feeling and great way to start the new year.

The admissions office must have been busy yesterday! I checked my son's application status to find that it said "Appointment offered". He was at work prior to school. I printed it out and drove to his job to show him. What an incredible moment. We shared the news with family and close friends. I have to say - I looked at the paper at least 20 times. In the late afternoon we had to check the site one more time - as we were still in disbelief - only to find It was no longer there! Confusion, heartbreak, panic all setting in... Fortunately I was able to reach someone from the admissions office who was wonderful in reassuring us that he was offerred an appointment and it was not to be posted until the the MOC had the opportunity to contact him directly and give him the news! WHEW!
What an emotional roller coaster! MY DS is still waiting to share any news with his friends, coaches, etc. He is waiting for the packet to arrive in the mail!
Congratulations to everyone!

Hi Rupewvu. Is there any stats in particular that you would like to see? Shoot me a PM. :thumb:

Hi Lewis. I am from NC district 01. I ended up receiving my MOC's principal nomination, so that definitely helped. :biggrin: Let me know if you have any more questions.

Congratulations :jump1:

Hey! Sorry for the slow response. As for my SAT scores I only had a 650 in math and 640 reading. Although these scores aren't off the wall like some others I have seen, I am currently first in my high school class and all of my courses are AP and honors, so I'm sure that helped. Some of my leadership roles include captain of my school's cross country and track teams, member of National Honor Society, and I am the vice president of my school's Key Club (a community service organization). Something else that undoubtedly helped me was that I was my MOC's principal nominee. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions, and good luck to you!
