To all of the incoming class of 2017;There is a PARENT face book group (for parents only) that exists for all of the classes. The new parent face book group for the incoming class of 2017 has just been started.
Please make sure all incoming parents join this group! It's just fantastic! Whether your parent(s) have done face book in the past or not is not a big deal--- many parents never did it before
until their child went to the USMMA
. This group will be their umbilical cord to the Academy and to their USMMA DS/ DD (dear son, dear daughter). The administrators are wonderful 2016 parents that are supportive and kind and very knowledgeable about TWIC cards, INDOC info, Parents Weekend, Hotel and Taxi recommendations for Long Island, wisdom teeth ?'s, packing for INDOC, posting photos, and being a huge support for the entire school year! It's also a great place to "meet" other new 2017 USMMA parents that are in the same boat as your parents are. They will have to request to join, and then an administrator will accept them if they are a new 2017 parent.
The STUDENT 2017 face book page is also a wonderful thing to join as well and information on joining that group will be available soon. ONLY 2017 students will be allowed in that fb group (no upperclassmen, no siblings, no parents, just 2017's). Info on that will be posted on the Forum when available.
