Army ROTC question

I am applying for the four year Army ROTC Scholarship at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, San Diego State, and Colorado State. I have a 3.5 gpa with mostly honors and AP courses. I received a 25 on my ACT. I felt like my interview went extremely well with the Arizona State PMS. I was wondering what my chances were of receiving the scholarship. I live in Arizona, so being in-state should help. Also, I was wondering when the results of the second board will be released. This anticipation is killing me.

Thanks.

Too little info

It's impossible to say due to too little info being provided, and I'm not sure we can say anyway. No one here sits on the boards and know what your competition looks like.

Is that GPA weighted or unweighted?
Which AP courses did you complete?
Leadership roles?
As I recall you played Varsity football and track and were in the debate club so you have athletics. Captain of any of the teams?
Your ACT scores are a bit low but they might be OK.
Did you ever complete the NROTC MO application?

Keep working on plan B. You have a chance but your ACT score concerns me.

... I do not remember the exact dates, but the board met early January .. I think it was something like 3rd-7th.

Results should actually should be sometime around late January (now) at the earliest.

Best wishes!

The last board started their review of applicants on Jan. 7th.

Based on previous boards it could be the end of Jan. or the first part of Feb.

Best of luck.

I agree with kinnem, without a lot more information nobody can really give you and idea of your chances. Of course it's too late to worry about that anyway, all you can do now is wait.

Don't be discouraged if you do not receive a scholarship this board, there is one more board scheduled. If you do not receive a scholarship this board it would be a good idea to start contacting the battalion at the school you would be attending to introduce yourself, keep up a conversation with them so they know who you are when you start school, if you come to school prepared, ready to do very well on your first APFT and start out with a good GPA your first semester you would put yourself in a good position for a Campus ROTC Scholarship if the battalion has any to offer.

Again, best of luck.

+ 1 to that!

I would also venture to add, that if you do get the scholarship, it would still be a good idea to contact the Bn of the school of your choice (if you have pinpointed which school you would like to go to) anways. So, then when you get there in the fall (and even though you aren't in need of an ISSP), at least then the cadre will know who you are out of the "X" incoming freshman cadets.

Great advice.

If you win a scholarship and you don't hear from the school you got the offer to there is a problem. I'm pretty sure when offers get posted you'll be hearing from your schools.
