I'm not at all sure that this will reach the right person, but just in case we truly live in a small world..... My son and his roommate have a "drag" for a few days and he presented them with 2 containers of homemade brownies today as he and his parents had heard on some forum that mids like homemade items. It totally MADE my son's day, as it has been a really hectic week for all sorts of reasons. So, to those parents who have been considerate enough to send a thoughtful gift to the plebes hosting their child on a CVW, my sincere thanks and appreciation!

Were the brownies drug-tested prior to consumption?:eek::rolleyes:

Wasn't that what almost got the football kid booted out a couple years back? "Hey, I didn't know what was in that 'blunt.' " That story-line only preserved his Mid-status until his next "wacky" infraction. WHOOSH! Gone, he was!

If your son's "drag" is from Florida, the brownies were made by me. I hope your son and his roommate enjoyed them. I thought it would be nice to bring something from "home."

WP--I stress enough as it is AND live in a state that just legalized the stuff!

NN&B--will ask my son where his candidate (drag is such an interesting term) is from. You'll have to report out how your son's visit went--looks like they got snow. It's a really busy time, so I hope he got to see and experience a lot. Regardless of which plebes got your brownies, thanks for your thoughtfulness--it's like lighting a candle during the "dark ages". The little things can make a big difference in how their day or week goes.

NN&B--sounds like my son and his roommate did host your son--from Florida--Nick T.? (He was actually attached to the roommate, but obviously spent time with my son as well.) Brendon told me to express his appreciation and gratitude to you for the brownies, so once again thank you! Hope the visit was informative for your son. Good luck to him as he progresses on his journey.

The term Drag goes way back and was in use in the 40's and always refered to a date and always of fhe female persuasion!

That's my boy.

Nick had a great time and appreciates the kindness Brendon and his roommate showed him. He came home decked out in Navy apparel and a big smile on his face. That said it all. Go Navy!

So glad that the weekend went well. Brendon says Nick's a great kid, really easy to host as well. Go Navy indeed.
