As the offers may be coming out soon, I wanted to start a brand new thread for those with status changes from the Cadet Application Status Website.

If you have a status change and feel comfortable, please also post

Your STATS:

GPA
Test Scores
Athletics
Leadership

Good luck everyone.

Quite confident tomorrow will be the day. Just not sure what time of day posts will take place. If in afternoon, we may not know until Monday morning.

I will post as soon as mine changes, if it does. I feel like I am competitive, but this is killing me!

Zack

Portal now says "You have been offered an Army ROTC Scholarship. We must receive your acceptance/declination by the date in your letter or the offer will be withdrawn. Your name will be sent to DODMERB the day your winner letter is printed. There will be about 72 workweek hours prior to being able to see your name in the DODMERB system. If you have already had a DODMERB physical performed, Cadet Command will request that information from DODMERB. If you have not taken a DODMERB physical, Cadet Command will submit your information to DODMERB who will notify you to schedule a physical.

pending medical qualification from Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB). Multiple Schools

Will the portal say if you received a scholarship to multiple schools? Or will it only list one?

I am curious, I always thought they only award to 1 school, do they actually award to multiple schools.

That would be a huge head ache if they did because now you actually could have even fewer people getting a scholarship. Theoretically, if someone got 5 awards, that would take away from 4 other people

OBTW congrats to all the recipients.

Just checked the portal for my DS. It has changed...

His first choice school. In state, public university. No other schools offered.
I have been reading posts on this site since October and learned so much that I thought I would share to help others pull their puzzle together.
DS will be so happy when he hears. He has wanted this for 4 years.

Just Updated

Status just updated to say "you have been offered scholarship" to my first choice! Stats are:

3.6 GPA Cumulative
28 Composite ACT (30 English, 25 Math, 30 science)
3 A.P. Courses, 4 Dual-enroll college courses
3 varsity sports, 1 captain
President of two clubs

By the way.... my DS award was for an OOS. His 3rd choice. He was accepted to his first choice and will be going there....so if that choice is not on the letter he will need to go the transfer route......

Hope to still get the letter with his 1st choice (no more expensive) next week.

Just curious.... Is your first choice higher in the alphabet?

Say for instance

University of Georgia

vs

Universty of Maine

Maybe the portal PRINTS the first college that comes along in the alphabt

Change here in son's status !

Although not to a school I thought he'd even applied to. Older son 2yrs ago got 1st choice and another he didn't apply for. Somewhat confused but very happy. Although next Wednesday he will be visiting a Battalion where he was invited by the ROO to come and "shadow a cadet and visit with the battalion" yet he has not been selected to go to.there :smile:

DS awarded to U of Illinois - Urbana Champaign (3rd choice)
GPA 3.90 (uw), 4.47 (w)
ACT 34 (M34 E34 R36 S31 W31)
Athletics: HS & Club Soccer, Track, (both JV only, no letter)
Leadership: Eagle Scout, Boys State, NHS, Co-Captain club soccer

Auburn University AROTC

Checked this morning, I was awarded an AROTC scholarship to Auburn University.
Stats:
ACT:28
GPA: 3.66
Physical: Mile- 6:08 (can't remember pushups and crunches but score was near perfect)

I am just over joyed!! Thanks to all who are on this forum, it has been a wealth of information. I am still awaiting to hear about NROTC from Auburn as well. Good luck to all!:shake:

Same question. Is this a possibility?

Son awarded to 3rd or 4th choice. Is it possible that the letter will have a school listed that is higher up on his list?

He has full tuition to school #1 so we are not sure what we will do. School that is listed costs the same as the one he was awarded, so is a transfer possible?

Yay! DS portal updated to show scholarship to first choice, Univ of Maryland. He's already been accepted to UMD, so next up ... DODMERB.

Now if the Ravens can pull out a win on Sunday it'll be a great weekend in our house.

Stats for DS

GPA 3.74 (uw)
NHS
ACT 29 (31 in Math, Science)
Athletics: HS & Club Lacrosse (Varsity Letter)
Leadership: Boys State, Boy's Lacrosse Coach
more than 500 hours of volunteer work

I have to ask again, because I am totally confused. Aren't AROTC scholarships tied to the school? If so, they only have an allotted number of scholarships to offer, and if CC knows this, wouldn't they only offer 1, because by offering multiple scholarships they are tieing up the pot of money.

I also say that because many cadets would hold onto the scholarship for a couple of reasons.
1. Applied to an SA, they won't be finding out for about 6 more weeks.
2. Many recipients have yet to hear from all of their schools regarding admittance.

Either scenario a lot of the money would not go back in the pot because it would be past the last board in March.
