What about Freshmen in college applying for AFROTC scholarships? Anyone know when to expect those results?

AFROTC January Board News
Our son's portal message changed on sweet, sweet Valentine's Day! Type 7 4 year for a tech major. Snail mail the very next day all the way to upstate NY! He is accepted to SUNY Albany, Ohio State, and is waiting but not overly hopeful about Cornell. Atmospheric Science is the major he wants. We can't figure out how he is supposed to decide to keep it or convert it by 3/1 without knowing where he will go yet? Also have not yet started the physical process. Backup plan is SUNY Maritime.
