There should be no MIGHT re-take you NEED to re-take, they are way low. The avg combined SAT scores are closer to the 1350+ marker.

Try taking the ACT.

The AFA will superscore, so take it, take it and take it again.

As always have your plan B in place too, which is usually AFROTC scholarship. The difference is they take the best sitting, and do not superscore. The avg SAT for their scholarships are also between 1300- 1360

xposted with skydiving.

Yes, they are considered above the min., but IMPHO, not enough to feel safe or even comfortable.

Agree 100% with what has been said. You need to get higher scores on the SAT or ACT to be competitive. I had 610 CR and 690 math last year and didn't get in. After NWP my scores are 670 CR and 750 Math. I'm much more competitive after a year prepping. Research some service academy prep programs and see if they are for you. Northwestern Preparatory School in particular has an excellent record even for those not on scholarship. Just remember to keep your options open. If the academy is the only place that you see yourself in the future, look into some prep programs.

What this guy said ^^^^^

Okay I will defentiely retake them. SAT crappy scores aside...how do I look?

Aside from the SAT scores (and you should try the ACT as well as retaking the SAT - some do better on the ACT) you have a fair shot. You have 0% probability of acceptance if you don't apply. You really need to get those SAT scores up. Take a course if you can or study online.

Kinnem is correct you have 0% chance unless you apply.

Did you apply for SLS this yr?

My concern is you academics. AFA will use their system for the wcgpa. The 4.01 is great, but what is the weight scale...4.5 or 5.0?

I will apply once it opens on March 1 till then I'm just stuck here waiting on SS results and studying for my Sat. It's 4.01 weighted. 4.00 un weighted. I go to small private school so it doesn't get any higher than that. Taking some college courses over the summer even tho they said they would not count it -__-

Curious, how do you have a 4.01 wcgpa and a 4.0 cgpa? Where does the .01 difference come from?
