rooming assignments?

USNA decides on PS roommates. No idea how they are assigned. It's NOT like a civilian college where you fill out interest forms, etc. Nothing like that.
I believe ac year roommate determination varies by company but I defer to others who are there now. When I was there, we got to choose roommates for Ac Year and had the option to change at the end of the semester.

Correct. It varies by company. Some allow same roommates for all 4 years, if desired. Others require changing regularly.
