NROTC scholarships

Has anybody heard anything recently about NROTC scholarships being offered or when the next board may be meeting? DS file still says "no decision has been made on your application". Just wondering.
 
My file still says "No Decision", too. Some applicants have received the scholarship and some have been declined. As hard as it is, all we can do is wait for them to make a decision on our applications.
 
DS is still waiting here (Florida) as well, both on NROTC and USNA. Nothing to do but wait and work on plans C, D, and E just in case. We're all anxious to see something, and he would like some idea where he'll be moving this summer. He's wanted to serve as an officer since elementary school, so he's very nervous that he hasn't heard anything yet, and it's hard as parents to sit by and watch him wait. Not to mention the inconvenience for us, as a lot of decisions are going to have to be made in a very short amount of time, from what bank we should set up his checking account (are there branches/ATM's near whatever campus he'll be at) to what days I need to take off this summer to get him where he's going, and are we driving there or flying there... and to whom should we send deposits.

However, I try to look at it like potty-training when they were toddlers. At the time it's one of the most important things going on with your child, but when it's all done, you barely remember the time and effort that went into worrying about it. There will be other things to worry about after all decisions have been made and everyone is settled in to where they're going.

Good attitude. Trust me. This will be the easy part. Also, I know you're all nerve-wracked... so were we. But we weren't able to pull the trigger on backup plans until late April and there was plenty of time. The key is to have the backup plans prioritized and ready to go. Also, if I'm correct, financial aid awards generally aren't made available by most schools until April 1 so I expect there will be some additional inputs to your decision making.
