AROTC Stats

Does anyone know the stats for AROTC Scholarships (e.g. percentage of valedictorians, SAT/ACT average, etc.)? I've seen the class stats for class of 2016 for West Point several times, but I have yet to find anything on AROTC Scholarships (maybe I haven't searched hard enough).

Also, how do they weigh which school you choose into it? Is it by the cost of the school, how prestigious the school is, your chances are equal regardless of the school?

Thanks for the advice, just trying to gauge an idea of my backup plans because AROTC is my Plan B for West Point, and there's always that chance the NWL kids (myself definitely included) will have to have a solid Plan B.

Not sure I understand your question exactly, but if you're asking about how your school is chosen for you, its to my understanding that they decide based upon 1. The cost obviously, the pool of money needs to stretch for many future officers. 2. Personal preference of school, your 9th choice won't want you too badly. 3. When you do your interview with a school's ROTC Professor it certainly does help if you give a spectacular interview at your #1 pick.

Yes I initially applied to a bunch of schools, but removed/added schools to my list based on which ones I got rejected from. I also changed my intended major A LOT this year, like I went from management to accounting to electrical engineering to computer engineering to computer science to global studies to finally international relations.

Nice part about that: at West Point you don't have to apply to a specific school or declare a major until I think sophomore year. Bad part: that's not how it always works with other colleges, especially when applying for the scholarship.
