Permit to Report

Hello,

When does the Permit to Report package arrive?
For the class of 2016, the Permit to Report, arrived in April 2012. Here's an idea of what may come for the class of 2017. This info was similar for the class of 2015 also. In any case, this page should be useful when the PTRs for the class of 2017 are mailed out. The most interesting piece of information in this packet is probably your new plebe's report time.
Cheers

Does anyone know how the reporting time is determined for each plebe?

I Do Not

Does anyone know how the reporting time is determined for each plebe?
To answer your question, no, I do not. Last year's report times were from 0600 to 0900. This way, new plebes are not all showing up at the same time.
Cheers.

One of my favorite posts since DD got her Offer of Appointment. Very informative for paperwork-planning purposes. Thanks for posting

You're welcome, but please keep in mind nothing is official until USNA says it is. But the last two classes did have the same administrative matters to complete before I-Day. Congrats on the appointment and welcome to the USNA family.
Cheers.

My son is in the Class of 2016 and, if I recall, the packets were delayed a bit and some forms were emailed. (Everything will be available online too.) It's a pretty intimidating packet of information but the details for everything your son or daughter needs to do is in there. I recall a very helpful booklet and lots of forms. He was also assigned an admissions counselor who was very helpful as well.

Best advice, don't procrastinate. He almost waited too long for a vaccination. (I think it was either smallpox or polio.) Doctor's offices don't provide them and he had to go to the County Health Department.

His report time was 0800 and I-Day was quite an experience for all of us!

Good luck to you and enjoy the rollercoaster ride!
