Not all the names are for public release yet. One died as a result of the afghan policeman turning his gun on his American counterparts and one died as a result of the UH-60 crash. More details to follow.

Tough week for USMA and USNA...

May your brothers and sister rest in peace, scout.

I'm sorry to add to the sad news, which is reported in a local newspaper.

First Lieutenant Christopher Rogan, 24 year old, has been found dead in his home near Ft. Campbell. He was a graduate of the USMA and a native of Connecticut. He had served a seven month tour in Afghanistan with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne.

Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Lieutenant Rogan and Captain Andrew Pedersen-Kell, 28, of Madison, a fellow USMA graduate, who was killed in Afghanistan on Monday.

Such sad news, our prayers are with each of these fallen soldiers, their families and loved ones.

So very sad, My thoughts are with their families

The details of that crash that we've gotten so far are awful. A sad day in a long and fruitless endeavor.

Tough for the Army Rotary wing community. Thinking of you guys -- the courage shown flying in that environment in Afghanistan always blew me away.

The gentleman who died in that crash was one of my best friends. He was an amazing pilot, mentor, father, and husband. We are devastated.

My condolences as well.

They are all in our prayers and thoughts.

Scoutpilot, I am so sorry for your loss. May your good friend rest in peace, and may you and and the families and friends of all those who perished in the crash find comfort in days to come.

No real words. So sorry you've lost a brother, Scout. Take care of yourself, too, this takes a toll.

Prayers for all of those lost, and their friends and families. I am so sorry Scout.

Sorry to hear that scout, it's been a tough time and I hope that their families and friends can find some comfort from their loss.
