Broken Ankle - ROTC Scholarship

Didn't know if this question was best for the ROTC forum or here - My DS is a Sophomore and in line for an ROTC side load scholarship this spring. He was to take his DODMERB this week, and broke his ankle! Any hope now?

Appeal To Heaven,

What Branch? Army? Navy? There is a chance. It may require a remedial or waiver. It may require complete recovery prior to 'passing' the DODMERB physical but it is possible. Have him talk it over with the Cadre.

Oh, please let me know what you find out! My son is in the same position!! Darned baseball!
 
AROTC parent and griffin - He is Navy. He goes to the doctor today to see if he will be in boot or cast. Thanks for your advice. I will try to update you here. Hopefully we should know soon as his leadership was to submit his packet in the next week or so....
 
Hopefully some information...

I saw in the DODMETS site that there is a date (4/18/13) and it says "10 days after last appointment."
My son has his follow up with the orthopedic surgeon on 4/3/13, so that date would be ten working days after that appointment.

I'll let you know as soon as we hear anything so you can see the timeframe for your son.
