I am ready to accept my scholarship offer (3 year ad arotc to St. John's University in NY) but I just want to make sure I understand the dodmerb timeline. After I send in my signed form saying that I accept the scholarship, I will be contacted to schedule the physical, correct? Is there anything I have to do, or does the appropriate party reach out to me? Also, on the portal it said my info would be with dodmerb within 72 hours, but I keep trying to log in to DODMERB and DODMETS online with my ssn and it won't let me. Thanks for the clarification in advance, hopefully it will reduce my anxiety a bit.

Congrats to You:shake::shake:

Here is what happened with my son who just received a 4 yr AROTC scholarship.

Once he accepted the scholarship, CC sent all paperwork in the mail that told him exactly what to do and how to set up your accounts on DoDMERB and DoDMETS. Keep trying to get on the sites. If you continue to have problems, contact them. It might just be that it is taking a little longer for them to update and enter everyone's name in the system.

The paperwork states the contact info for your exams (eye and physical). It is YOUR responsibility to contact them to set up the appts and go. There is a deadline, so be aware of that!!! I believe you have 5 days to set them up. The minute you set up the appts, go back to the DoDMETS site and enter in this info. Try to go ASAP so that if there is a problem, you can be on top of things and get it done quickly. Follow all instructions. (ex. filling out your medical history, printing it etc) Make sure you have everything to give to drs so that they may do their part.

Then after appts check daily on the DoDMETS site to make certain that the paper work was submitted to them. (I did this and thank God I did. Because my DS had a "complete hold". I waited and waited for info on this and it never came. So finally I called. It was on hold because the physician did not do a hearing screening. So we had to go back. The thing is, they were going to close his file two days later because not all info was completed. Blahhhhh We had the dr fax the completed hearing exam info and everything was ok from there.)

DoDMETS mailed completed packet on a Friday. DoDMERB received on Mon. and by Wed he was qualified. So the best advice anyone can give you is

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS, FOLLOW ALL EXACTLY AS STATED, CHECK AND CHECK AND CHECK... KEEP ON TOP OF THINGS and you will be fine...

Good luck!!
