Hello, I recieved a Army nursing scholarship and was wonderin if anyone has any information on the possibility of the army paying to send me to graduate school and what percentage of army rotc nurses get to go?

Yes and most have the opportunity to do so. You can specialize as a nurse when you hit 1LT ( emergency, critical care etc) and go on to get a graduate degree as a CRNA, NP or CNS. They also pay for the doctorate in nursing program.

So after completing ROTC I would have to be promoted to 1LT and then the Army will offer to send me back to school? I am interested in being a ER nurse or CRNA.

re-read the post.

when you hit 1LT

You do not enter as an O2. You will do 2 yrs as an O1, and than when you hit 1LT , you can specialize as a nurse.

Maybe my post was unclear but I said "So I would have to be promoted to 1LT", so I understood what he said.

My bad, I mis-read your post.

In essence, if I am correct, what you want to know is can you go as soon as you are an O1?

We all make mistakes

Yes you are correct, and also what percentage of army nurses get this offer? Would I have to retake some ROTC classes in graduate school? and any details on how it works if you know them. Thanks!
