I was recently awarded a 3 year scholarship to my #1 school. However, I recently visited my cousin at the University of Washington... And fell in love with the school. I'm not going to bother trying to apply to UoW and get my scholarship transferred for the '13-'14 school year, BUT lets say I still want to go UoW after my freshman year, whats the policy on transferring? Would the scholarship transfer over, especially because it's a 3 year that doesn't even take affect until my sophomore year anyway? UoW and the school I'll be attending next year are both out of state public schools if that makes any difference.

Is the other school also on the West Coast ? Do you know if it is in the same brigade ?

transfer

ROO at the school my DS is going to attend said transferring scholarships between brigades for AROTC scholarships is only possible if one school does not offer a major that the second school does. But it has to be a major that the army thinks is highly desirable for them. And in general the majors are not important to them except for a few special types of engineering.

No the other school is in the Midwest, so as far as I know, they are NOT in the same brigade.

Based on the above info, there is almost no chance that this transfer would be approved. There are simply too many people that would have to sign off.

As far as the army is concerned, you already received a scholarship to your number 1 choice. You would need to have a reason far more compelling than personal preference.

Thank you guys for the info, I figured this would be the case. Haha well no problem, I'll be perfectly happy at my current school!
