1) They issued my plane ticket. Keep eyes open in your spam box.

2) I asked for a specific date, didn't get it. I would like to change it.

3) When I emailed the listed email in the USAFA "Instructions to Appointees" booklet, I got a bounced email.

Help? Who do I get into contact with to fix this?

Not quite sure... Just a heads up though-

As the online form, which you electronically signed, thus approving that you read the whole of, mentioned, there must be some circumstance preventing you from flying out the day before for them to issue you a ticket for another date.

Your best bet if you really want to get out there early would be to buy your own ticket and seek the reimbursement that they offer at the academy. Though be aware that you will probably not get a 100% reimbursement. They reimburse what they would have been able to get your ticket for, which is significantly less than what you would pay at this point.

Sorry to bear this information, but it is all available in the literature provided to us.

When my twins flew to USAFA for BCT in 2008, one was to leave the Steeler Nation on a 6 a.m. flight to Dallas, and the other at 9 a.m., also to Dallas, and they were to fly together on to COS. We called the airline and for $20, they switched one guy to the earlier flight. I think it was American. When we asked for a supervisor, they waived the $20.

You have to pay for the change personally, if the airline opts to charge you.

The flight from Dallas to COS was filled with incoming basics and several of those young ppl still report it as the most fun they ever had on an airplane!

Manassass Travel has to work hundreds of tickets, almost all of them are for the same date. They probably missed the annotation for the alternate travel date.

Call Admissions and ask to speak with either Crista Hill or Bonnie Madison. They interface directly with Manassass Travel and can handle the changes.

As only an insider can, nice call. Got a number?

HeWants,

I know that Crista Hill is one of the admissions counselors so if you call admissions and then use the menu you should be put through to her.
