Several months ago on the forum several suggested that a good vehicle for a newly graduated ROTC cadet would be a used Toyota Tundra. I told my DS that several had suggested this option. Today's text from DS: Just saw my PMS driving. Took the forum's advice. Driving a nice Toyota Tundra.

I suggest the Toyota Tacoma for the newly minted 2nd LT. Don't want to show up the O4/O5. Expense is more in line with the salary as well.

Or...he could have gone with the Mustang GT, then you get to laugh when he calls and asks if you think the 55 inch TV he just bought will fit in the trunk.

F-150 Rocks

I think it was Conan or Jon Stweart who was making fun of Toyota, because every picture of middle eastern fighters hasa Toyota Pick-up with a bunch of AK 47 weilding men in the back. Sorry this post just reminded me of this so I had to comment. See the attached newsweek story. So Maybe a Ford F-150:confused:

Actually DS's grandmother was a Ford dealer and he's not forgotten where his inheritance came from, all those F-150's she sold in the 70's and 80's.

I am a 2LT with a Toyota Tacoma and you will find them a lot more common than Tundras on a military post.

Once I get higher into the O's maybe I'll splurge on a Mustang GT too :shake:
