Any more NROTC scholarships to be awarded for Fall 2013

Hello,
My DS applied end of February for NROTC.

Two questions:

1) Has anyone received a Navy ROTC scholarship within the last few days?

2) He is planning to attend school and join ROTC regardless of scholarship. That said, anyone have knowledge, tips, or experience with obtaining a follow on 2nd year scholarship?

I'm thinking the late application coupled with ongoing sequestration would mean no more scholarships until next year. The Staff and Officers at his (accepted) school's units were very encouraging about "hearing news" this week. So far no change. His status is listed as: "no decision has been made on your application." They stated that the odds on the follow scholarship were very favorable which is contrary to what I have previously heard.

As I recall there is still one more board to meet on April 26. It was posted by an insider late March or early April.
 
same 'no decision' message here. Kind of wish they would get on with it whatever the decision. It is late!
 
You may want to call your scholarship coordinator to find out. DS's info on the web still says no decision. However, he called today and was told he should have received an email a few weeks ago with the result.
 
Do you know how to figure out which number to contact about that? Mine has said 'no decision' for a very long time even though I completed it back in November.
 
Besides trying to reach out via phone be sure to check the email address you gave them.
