Small Problem...

In January of this year, I requested information from the USMA website, thinking I'd be able to get more information from the Academy. In doing so, I gave a measure of personal information, most importantly my year of graduation (2015, I'm a sophomore), and I believe I created an application account by accident. However, I think some computer read my information wrong (I'm guessing it thinks I'm a junior), as I keep getting email and snail mail suggesting that I apply for the USMA Class of 2018 using this account that I accidentally created.

After realizing I created an account, I logged on, and was met by a page requesting my YOG and Soc Security #. Giving both, I was told I was not eligible to apply for the class of 2018.

Will I be able to use the same account when I apply next year? I'm concerned that the info that I submitted has been put into a file for someone applying for the class of 2018, and the information may somehow prevent me from applying for the class of 2019.

Is this a problem at all? Is there anyone is should contact about this?

If this post was too confusing, I apologize.

I would send Admissions an email and explain the mix-up (just like you did here) and ask for some guidance. They are very helpful but really busy this time of year so you may need a little patience before they get a chance to help you.

Go to the admissions website, look up your region, and then contact the Candidate Technician for your region. Email that person and explain the situation. They will fix it and you'll be good to go for application to the class of 2019. Good Luck!

They are two separate systems. You will be able to open a file in December/January of your Junior year.

Thanks for the advice, I sent an email to the admissions office, but I don't expect a reply for some time.
