Appointee worried about vision...

I just received my "specs" order form from the Cadet Optometry Clinic. My question is: If I was offered an appointment with my vision at -7.75, with no waiver needed, will I still be okay medically if my vision is now -8.00?
I'm just worried that reaching the absolute limit for vision requirements will affect my appointment...
It is still correctable to 20/20.

as long as its correctable to 20/20, you should be fine. of course, that doesnt mean abuse your eyesight but don't worry too much about it

during junior year, particularly for pilots you can elect to get laser eye surgery to get pilot qualifications. that being said, it doesnt fix everything but for your situation i think you should be fine as far as i can tell
 
my vision is far worse than yours and I'm medically qualified however I am unable to fly due to the fact that my vision is not correctable to 20/20. You should be fine but you don't have to take my word for it feel free to call DODmerb and ask that would be your best bet.

Whew! Well it's good to hear that (not about your vision of course :thumbdown:)--but I'm glad to hear you were still able to qualify. May I ask how much worse your vision is?
