Hi Y'all,
So I have been searching through forums and finding a lot of information about taking the hardest classes your school can offer and to continuously doing so. Here's my problem...
I had suffered a concussion earlier this year, my junior year. It left me out of school for 2 months. I was unable to take AP classes or many Honors Classes due to it because the doctors told me it would only make it worse. I had one Honors Class which was my English. My rank dropped from 21 to 38 this year and my GPA also suffered.
Course Selection for next year has opened and I have chosen the following classes: AP English, AP Calc, Honors Chemistry II and Honors Physics. Do the academies look at your Junior year grades more so than your Senior year grades? I have been trying to pick up the slack due to the concussion and have pulled my GPA up, as well as my rank to 28. I know I will be able to get better for next year, but my concern is getting completely overlooked due to my poor GPA due to my illness. Help please?
