Appointment Revokation

I have received an appointment. I am worried though because last quarter I received a 'D' in an AP class (Computer Science). I will still have a 'B' for the semester and year in that class, and all my other classes are A's and B's as well. Am I in danger of having my appointment revoked?

I'm not sure if all high schools do it the same way, but usually when the transcript is sent out at the end of the year, it will only show your final grade...not each quarter. So if you say it will be a B, that is what USNA will see. You can ask your guidance counselor to be certain.

Even if it shows up on your transcript, one D in an AP class--which you have promptly raised to a B for the final semester grade--in a sea of As and Bs is not going to be an issue.

You're going to be fine. Revocations are extremely rare. When they occur, it is for matters far more serious than what you've described.

Relax. Just graduate ... don't get into any legal troubles ... and stay healthy.

Thanks everyone. I figured I would be okay but still had some nagging worry about it. Thanks for the reassurance.

Unfortunately I did not bring the grade up as much as I had hoped. I received a c in my fourth quarter, second semester and year. Is this a cause for major concern?

Nope. No concern at all.

Welcome to the real world, get used to it.

I "frogged" my college calculus only later to "Ace" it a few semesters later, growing up and could not stand living with a "frog" on my college transcript.

This was of course, right after meeting my GF, now wife, who still occasionally has to pull my hair and say things like, "hey honey, remember when..."

I thank God for her everyday.
