I screwed up and confused the Dodmerb process (basically). I was wondering if anyone knew if there is such a thing as a conditional appointment based on completing and passing the medical exam part. I recall some people on here saying that they had gotten this type of appointment so I was just wondering if anyone knew if it was true or just a mistake.

thanks- good luck everyone! keeping the fingers crossed.

Don't they call that a Letter of Assurance? What do you mean you confused the DodMerb process?

The USCGA will offer a Conditional Appointment in a case where DODMERB medical qualification has not been completed. You will have until June 1 to qualify medically (physical exam must be taken before April 15).

Although all LOAs are "conditional appointments" most of the LOAs issued by the 4 other SA's use a MOC nomination as the "condition."

As nominations are not necessary at the USCGA (as of today  ) most of the Conditional Appointments have a medical qualification / waiver that must met before a full appointment is offered.

I recieved a conditional appointment and my condition was clearing my remedial status for dodmerb. i was found disq from them so the academy is reviewing me for a waiver. and i have heard that they are thinking about making is necessary for nominations for cga in the future. but dont quote me on that. anyways, hope this helps.
