Do validation tests show up on transcript?

When you take and pass validation tests, including higher level classes (like calc 3), does is show up on your transcript? I know that everyone still takes 4 years to graduate and you still need to take a certain number of classes, but I'm curious if it shows up in your transcript. After all, if you are taking the subsequent class, you would need to have "taken" the prerequisite, which would be from the validation test, right?

Validation credit shows up on the transcript. They are not calculated in your CQPR. They may be substituted for required classes in your matrix.

Skipped classes (plebe summer language validation past four semesters, LSAP) do not show up on your transcript; in those cases the department is waiving prerequisites.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I validated 3 semesters of Spanish and they all showed up on my transcript. As far as I know, every single class you validate shows up on your transcript.

Because you validated three semesters and not four? Or did you mean to write three years?

Case in point: Different departments have different policies. The Chinese department said four semesters of credit, and the rest is just skipped. Participation in the 6 week LSAP program will allow placement one level above the usual advancement (for example, MIDN finishing FC202 and completing LSAP over the summer will be placed in FC401 the next fall). Best to check once the ac year starts.

One more thing-do you have grades for the validation tests? or is it a pass/fail grade? (You already mentioned its not calculated for GPA, but does a grade still show up?)

There is no grade. It's marked as "V." All you get is credit.

You're saying that only language validations do not show up on your transcript; yet, Calculus/Chemistry/Physics validations do show up? Are you sure?

I think I misunderstood what Nuensis said too... I'm pretty sure he (or she) was saying that normal language validations DO show up on your transcript (a normal validation would be 1-4 semesters). But if you validate any languages beyond 4 semesters (if you are near fluent or something like that), then those 300/400 level courses would NOT show up on your transcript.
