Will USNA share CFA results w/other acadamies?

I tried doing a search on this topic, but couldn't find anything. My son attended NASS in June and of course completed the CFA. Will the USNA share those results w/other acadamies that he is applying to or will he need to have another CFA done here independently? If they do share, do you just contact Admissions and make the request?

Yes, the CFA can be shared with other academies. Contact USNA Admissions.
 
you have to email your admissions officer and request they send the results to other academies.
 
Agree :smile:. Last summer, USNA shared my DS's NASS CFA scores with USAFA

There's a facebook post on the USAFA site that says, effective this year, they will not accept CFA scores from other academies. So, if you took it at NASS or SLE, you'll have to do another one for USAFA.
 
They will share scores. However, a passing score at one SA is not necessarily passing at another. So be sure to check with each SA to ensure you passed.
 
At the Air Force summer seminar they said they wouldn't take navy cfa scores at the seminar
 
My understanding is USMA and USNA share CFA scores, but USAFA don't.

That seems to defeat the purpose of having a CFA. The original idea was that candidates would only have to complete one test for at least the "big 3." How each SA interpreted the score was another matter.

If USAFA won't accept the scores, I wonder whether the CFA will continue to exist. Doesn't seem to be much point.:rolleyes:
 
Maybe it has something to do with USAFA not accepting the scores from their own summer seminar. Perhaps they just don't want to take summer seminar scores across the board now.
 
can someone give me the link to where it says they wont accept CFA from USNA. My DD is taking the Navy one in two weeks, we were hoping she wont have to ask her coach top do three of these during the summer. It is really important we get these done before her football season, there is always a HIGH chance of injury once the season starts.

It's just the AFA that won't accept. This was a post from AFA Admissions on 5 June:

"US Air Force Academy (Admissions) We have made a change this year and we will not accept any Service Academy Summer Seminar CFA scores. The CFA will have to be conducted by a PE teacher, coach, or ALO."
 
If you read that carefully, that simply says WHO must conduct the CFA for AFA to accept it.....not that they will have to take a separate test for AFA. I think someone is jumping to conclusions and didn't read that carefully.

Many applicants don't attend SS. I read that as saying if your h.s. coach (among others) conducts the test, AFA WILL accept it.
 
Perhaps someone just misunderstood what they were told. I just looked on the AFA official website and unless it hasn't been updated, they indicate you CAN take the test at another academy and have it submitted to them.

This is a quote from the AFA website.........."If you took the CFA at another service academy you can ask them to send the scores to us."

Perhaps it would be better to get input from the AFA forum area in the event those individuals don't read the USNA area.
