My daughter just received her DoDMERB letter, she occasionally suffers from cluster headaches, does not take any medication except Aleve or Exedrin.
Will this create any problem concerning her ROTC,USNA appointment?

If it is a condition that a doctor is treating her for, then you need to report it. Even if the treatment is just aspirin or similar. If it is a condition or symptom that you are self diagnosing, then unless you are a doctor, and you're determining this because you spent time on medmd.com, then its not really a condition. You have to determine if its truly a health issue. If you believe it is, then you need to get her looked at. If it is truly a condition that a doctor has diagnosed, then yes, it can affect her chances of getting into the academy, ROTC, or enlisting. Because of the nature of the military and its mission, it can't have people with conditions that can affect their ability to perform at a moments notice. You can't call time out in the middle of a battle. Its not like a medical condition that you can plan for, like a pregnancy or even a menstrual cycle.

But the only way you'll know for sure is to apply. The military will let you know if its a disqualifying condition or not.

Thank you sir for your response, even thou her doctor have check her over the years no official diagnosis have been stablished.
I put cluster headaches because it happens on one side of her head and i assumed that is what it is called.
It happens mostly on her menstrual period.

Sounds like she's simply having her own unique aches and pains. Just like cramps or similar during menstrual periods. If it's not officially diagnosed by a doctor, then it doesn't exist. At least not on an application. Now, if it's so bad that you need medical attention, then that's obviously an issue you need to report.

I'm going to go out on a limb here.... IMHO if your DD is not under a doctors care for it now, has not been prescribed meds for it and is not an issue as far as your doctor is concerned then I would not mention it on the DoDMERB form. No reason to open a door that may result in an unecessary DQ.

The invention of webmd and wiki was the worst thing to happen to healthcare. I concur. If your PCM isn't worried about it, I wouldn't address the issue with third party participants.
